My classroom expectations are simple. I expect four basic things from my students.
-
I expect my students to be respectful. This includes showing respect at all times to staff, fellow students and the facilities that house us all.
-
I expect my students to be prepared. This means coming to school with a positive attitude, completed homework, a readiness to learn and all of the supplies necessary to be successful.
-
I expect my students to prompt. This encompases before class in the morning, between classes throughout the day and when returning from a rest room break.
-
I expect my students to be successful. Students can be successful by following these expectations, being focused on creating success for themselves and doing their best.
-
I expect the same if not more for myself as I do for my students.
My expectations for my parents are to function as a support system for my students. Parental involvement has a proven positive impact on student success. This support includes checking over agendas and homework each evening, making sure students receive adequate rest and nourishment and providing them with the drive to achieve the educational goals set forth by the state of Michigan as well as our Academy.
